I've been hearing about this creepy sonic character named "Sonic.exe." People are saying he's some kind of possessed sonic or something. I thought it was a bunch of baloney, but to keep myself safe, I never played Sonic.exe myself. However I did see people play it and it didn't look like a very good quality game. A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from this guy named Tom. (you know, one of the people who played the game.) He wrote "Dude, don't you DARE play this game. He's in it. From Tom" It wasn't that sonic.exe game, rather, it was actually a sega genesis rom titled "An ordinary sonic hack." I thought to myself, 'what does he mean "he?"' Finally, I got the rom and played it, because Tom wouldn't listen to his friend Mike. At first I thought "Hey! It's Sonic 1!" But at the same time I thought "That's what the actual Sonic.exe does to trick you." Oddly enough, there was static for about a couple of seconds. Then I knew what Tom meant by "he." Because the title changed to that of sonic.exe's! But instead of for a split second, The title kept on going, sonic.exe was waving his finger, and the "Hill" theme from Sonic.exe played in the background. It looked sort of like this:
Only now, there was the word "Score" below the word "Start." The sky was even darker. I started the game, and instead of the character select screen, it went straight to the game, playing as sonic. It was good old Green hill zone, with the terrain, badniks, even the music was the same as the original sonic! But then... Static again for a couple of seconds. Then everything became really creepy, and the Hill theme started playing again. The red rings actually made your ring count go down instead of up. Even the badniks were now invincible. The score was going down by 10 every second. Then it was Sonic.exe again! I tried everything to run away from him, but he was faster.
As he got closer and closer, the screen was getting more and more red. Finally, he caught me. The words "Found you," like in sonic.exe, appeared, and then I got the normal death animation. I was relieved, considering that in sonic.exe, He was getting ready to strike, caught you, and then an ear peircing yet very scary scream played. In sonic.exe, you also got those words, and the ones here actually looked the same as in sonic.exe.
When I got to Robotnik, the battle played like normal, until the dark world came back. Robotnik was invincible, and after 4 hits, he dropped a monitor.That monitor returned me to the regular world. Basically, I repeated this until Robotnik was defeated. Then I beat the zone. I decided to never play this extraordinary sonic hack again. It was too scary. I deleted the rom, I deleted the email, and that was the end of the terror. I heard some weird tuba score being played after I played the hack, but I was sure that was just my sister watching care bears. The end?
